News from our project partner in Greece
Our partner Prof. Sofia Avgitidou from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) had the opportunity to present the LEAFAP materials in an invited workshop by the Freinet skg pedagogical group with the title “The school as a learning community: from challenges to proposals for action” on the 9th May, 2026. Teachers, head teachers and student-teachers participated actively and commented very positively the LEAFAP materials for supporting the opportunities to collaborate, research and reflect on their everyday work in schools. Many thanks to the 81st Primary School of Thessaloniki which hosted the workshop.

LeaFaP Conference: Presentations
As part of our Erasmus+ project, we invite you to explore the contributions presented at our conference. These sessions shared key findings and fostered dialogue among educators and school leaders across regions, focusing on innovative approaches to Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and inquiry-based practices in schools. Tailored to the national contexts of the participating countries, they encouraged cross-regional exchange and the local adaptation of methodologies. LeaFaP Final Conference – a truly inspiring experience
The Final Conference of the LeaFaP project has successfully taken place – and what a meaningful and enriching event it was. It was a great opportunity to come together with colleagues and partners from across Europe – including Norway, Italy, Germany, Spain, Cyprus and Greece – to exchange ideas, perspectives, and experiences around Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). LeaFaP at the DGfE Congress: Professional Learning Communities – Bridging Gaps in Educational Fields
At the 30th Congress of the German Educational Research Association (DGfE) in Munich, the LeaFaP consortium hosted the symposium “Professional Learning Communities as Relevant Bridging Method across Professional, Institutional and Curricular Disruptions in Educational Fields”. Chaired by Katja Kansteiner, several members of our consortium shared their expertise on how PLCs help individuals and social systems overcome fractures in thinking and doing. After an intensive period of research and development, we are delighted to share further information about the international final conference of our Erasmus+ project LeaFaP – Leading and Facilitating Professional Learning Communities in Schools towards an Inquiry-based and Reflective Practice. Following our previous save-the-date announcement, registration is now officially open. The international final conference will take place on 27 and 28 April 2026 at the University College of Teacher Education Vorarlberg in Austria, with selected parts also available online.
