A: Phew, so… today was pretty chaotic again, wasn’t it?

B: Yeah, I totally agree. I had no idea when it was actually supposed to start. Everyone was kind of sitting there, but nobody kicked things off.

A: Exactly! There’s no one to get things started or set the tone. And then some people just go on forever about their point …

B: … while others drift off or start giggling. At times, there were even loud side conversations happening.

A: And we never really know when we’re supposed to wrap up. Today it just dragged on forever.

B: And then, out of nowhere, someone suddenly started talking about something totally unrelated, even though we were right in the middle of another topic!

A: Yeah, I remember that. And the table was completely cluttered with all sorts of things – water bottles, folders, papers – so I couldn’t even use my own materials at all. We also couldn’t write anything down for everyone to see and work on … I just felt like no one had a clear overview.

B: To be honest, I was also bothered that the facilitator didn’t write anything down. We had to keep everything in our heads, and by the end, I had no idea what the others were talking about.

A: Yeah, I felt the same. I was sitting a bit further back and couldn’t see everyone, which was really inconvenient.

B: The way things are going now, it’s not really working. I think we really need to think about how to bring this up.
